Thank you for your constant and continued support of your Tridents. The last six weeks of deployment have been the busiest and most intense operational tempo I have seen in my entire career. I couldn't have been more proud and honored to have gone through it with this team. Your Tridents, and their incredible work, made national and international news as we supported Operation Absolute Resolve and interdicted FIVE Venezuelan dark fleet oil tankers. Our second interdiction was the FIRST night insert ever done by HSC-9! And then we went on to do three more. Through it all, this team kept the entire Strike Group protected, supplied, and resourced. You should be incredibly proud of your support and what it has enabled your Trident to accomplish.
We recently got some good time to recharge in port - I hope you had some good time to catch-up with your Trident. I'm sure they've shared the news that our deployment has been extended a little longer. Please know that this extension will allow us to finish the important work we're doing. While nothing is ever certain, I remain hopeful that our new timeline will hold. As a team, we're going to ensure we're even more ready to come home to family and friends.
