Buchanan (Buck), USN(Ret), Former CO HS-2, HS-10, HSCW-1, USS Mobile Bay (LKA-115), USS New Orleans (LPH-11) June 22, 2026 Signal Charlie I knew and enjoyed my friendship with Buck. We crossed service in several commands: USS Yorktown, USS Independence, HS-10. Not serving at the same time, but leaving our marks somewhere. We did serve together on staff at COMASWINGSPAC. But most of all, I loved the comradeship and sea story swapping in association with reunion lunches with Retired Helo Pilots. Great guy to know. Condolences to the family. <https://ci3.googleusercontent.com/mail-sig/AIorK4w7pz3palI69ZSULOuE-9dZ9sQ6usQeCcn7-JTNt3Q8JN8IDtGerWaHjuzTZ-y01co4p1IZDZk> Bill Sears Cell 619-889-1457 * Secretary, Kiwanis Club of Bonita bonitakiwanis.org <http://bonitakiwanis.org> * Scouting America (Boy Scouts) volunteer. * Kiwanis Key Club Advisor On Tue, Jul 7, 2026 at 9:28 AM <rotorhead@helobubbas.com <mailto:rotorhead@helobubbas.com> > wrote: https://www.nhahistoricalsociety.org/captain-edward-o-buchanan-buck-usnret-b...
