I have been struggling at times with seeing around the sides and back of the Willys Sedan in freeway traffic, so my friend, Ray Gauthier of the San Diego Prowlers suggested I look into a backup camera and see if there might be one which will widen the horizon behind the Willys Sedan considering all the steel body, small rear window and miniscule side rear view mirrors, so I did and picked out this one from AutoVox which is basically wireless and uses solar and the cig lighter for power. I received it yesterday and installed and played with it this morning and works as advertised…..Very easy install which matches all the reviews. I charged up the camera device which mounts on top or bottom of the license plate as you choose…..and has a clever lock to keep someone from stealing it as well.  The inside unit plugs into the cigarette lighter and basically with the car off, the whole thing is off. But when you start the car and it gets power via the cig lighter and it turns on the camera……and works very nice…..I drove around the local neighborhood and can see whatever is behind me and even on the side of me pulling up in adjacent lanes.  It also will record and do other stuff as well…..Saturday is In and Out Burger so will get a chance to see how it works with all the traffic on the I-15 going to Poway….mgb
