Was reminded of my love for the Stone,Woods & Cook Gassers today, when

Mick posted a pic of his wife Elaine viewing the (1st SW&C '40 Willys Coupe)

at Bakersfield in 2009 (see attached). I loved watching that light-blue '40

at Pomona in 1961 when I was still in high school. I then became a permanent

S,W&C Fan from that time on.

(LOVE THAT RACE TEAM and all their series of great Gassers, especially in the 60's!)

I've owned 3 Willys Cars, but my current '40 Coupe is my favorite because

it reminds me so much of that first '40 SWC Coupe built in 1961, plus it has it's own history.

(My '40 was raced in B/Gas by Bill Boer on the east coast on the Jack Merkel Racing Team)
