Very small bit of BD/me trivia:
In 1988 BD ran a flathead powered liner at Bonneville. Went 220mph or so and got himself a "2" Club membership. As the car was next "in line" in the Swamp Rat "family" it got the designation Swamp Rat 33.
I'm not entirely certain how it came to be, but I would imagine BD new Tom Hannah and they decided Tom could use the number on his liner. Or, as is the rule, after three years of non use the number became available and Tom just commandeered it early this century for his build.
I ended up with the car and thought about changing the 33 until I heard the history.
