This afternoon I was thinking how I could mount my backup camera monitor screen to the upper dash without ruining the paint and got to thinking about Velcro again which I had attached to the monitor mount and to the underside of the below dash air condition vent, knowing it worked down there but not great to look at it down and a little far away and remembered my fancy GoPro Camera glass mounting cups sitting here in a box in the office. I have three of them and in the end I used my old very inexpensive and also the smallest along with the simple clamp mount I bought so I could mount my smart phone to take video. I tried both big and small mounts and went with the simple small mount and it works very nicely. Cam can be easily removed or mounted and you can see it.
Had two test drives and that setting on the camera is what it suggested and leaves the cam on all the time….so both problems solved….Extra set of eyes now to the rear and both sides of the car….mgb
