Not that your ride isn't drop dead gorgeous (leaks and all), but to me, if paint made speed, Mick, I'd be all over it.
(Not to mention I'm nowhere near your standard of artfulness and care).
Enclosed is my 2006 National Dry Lakes Champion car in its award winning form.
#1 NDLC car means cover of the rule book the following year.
Note the custom carbon fiber nose a friend of mine helped me make, and the subtle way it contrasts with the rear of the vehicle adorned in Kelly Moore red (applied with a 3/8" nap roller to save time).
Shiny side (cause you have a shiny side) up!

I replaced the leaking header gasket in the Willys yesterday, Fel Pro,
piece of cake.

After replacing the water pump I discovered my old lower hose had
a small leak, hate it.
Was leery of replacing the hose initially because Gates products are now made in China and Mexico [like everything else].
So, went out and bought the new Gates hose, rrrggg.
Drained the new coolant and distilled water from the radiator [carpeted garage floor] without making a mess.
Shortened and replaced the lower hose.
Refilled at the tank mounted on the firewall without spillage,
slow process.
Cleaned the chromed front suspension which REALLY makes the car
go a lot faster, the air just floats over that shinny stuff, cutting the et by
at least 3 seconds in the quarter mile.

Tomorrow I'll park on the hill facing upwards around the corner to
bleed it/purge it.

Attached,
Mick
